I didn't used to look like this... One day, when I was about 9 months post partum with my second child, deep in the throws of post partum depression, sleep deprived, breastfeeding, and just so uncomfortable with my body and unhappy with myself, I decided enough was enough. I was going to take that plunge and do the work that needed to be done to lose the weight.
But, I’ve done this before, many times in the past. And it seems I always ended back at square one, back where I was at that moment, dreading the process all over again.
I remember this day, standing in my closet and having these thoughts. I looked in the mirror asked myself a hard question: "What did all those failed attempts have in common?"
The answer hit me like a ton of bricks: Me. It was always me. That's when I made a life-changing decision: I was going to invest in myself and hire a coach. That day I promised myself that this would be the LAST time I would ever 'start over.' I didn't want to be in that place of self-hate, guilt, and overwhelm ever again.
And that choice? It changed everything.
After going through the process and losing the weight and getting fit, I realized it wasn't as hard as I initially perceived it to be. And that's the message I want to get across to you: Ladies, we've been lied to and told all the wrong things about losing weight and getting in shape.
